How the Deye inverter range is organised
Every one of the 31 Deye entries on this site is a SUN-series photovoltaic inverter. Two questions separate them: how many AC phases the unit feeds, and whether the platform can charge a battery.
Single-phase string inverters
The smallest units are transformerless single-phase inverters for domestic roofs. The SUN1-1.5-2-2.5-3-3.6-4K-G04P1-EU-AM1 is recorded with a single MPPT channel, a 220/230 V output, a 550 V maximum DC input and a 5.6 kg chassis. From around 3.6 kW upward the channel count doubles: the SUN3.6-4-4.2-4.6-5-5.2K and the SUN3.6-5.6K-G04-AU both take two strings, and on the AU unit the two inputs are not interchangeable — 18 A on one channel, 26 A on the other. The band tops out with the SUN7-7.5-8-9-10-10.5K-G, recorded at 10000 W nominal and 11550 W maximum AC on a 14.8 kg chassis.
Single-phase hybrids
The SG platforms add battery charging on the same single-phase footprint. The SUN3-3.6-5-6K-SG04LP1 records 6000 W nominal and 6600 W maximum at 230 V and 17 kg; the SUN3.6-5-6-7-7.6-8-10K-SG05LP1-EU-AM2-P carries the same platform up to the 10 kW end at 24.9 kg. The SUN5-6-7.6-8K-SG01LP1-US is the North American member: 5000, 6000, 7600 and 8000 W nominal at 120/240 V and 60 Hz, and its enclosure is recorded as NEMA Type 3R, a different rating system from the IP65 the rest of the range carries and not convertible to it.
Three-phase, residential to utility
Three-phase starts in genuinely residential territory. The SUN3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-12-15K-G06P3-EU-BM2-P1 spans 3000 to 15000 W nominal across ten separate ratings, on two MPPT channels and 11.5–12 kg. Commercial sizes follow: SUN18-20-22-23-25K-G05 at 20000 W nominal on two channels and 20 kg, SUN40-45-50K-G04 at 40000, 45000 and 50000 W on four channels and 39 kg, and SUN70-75-80-90-100-110K-G03 with six channels at 81 kg. The largest entry, the SUN120-125-130-135-136K-G01P3, records 120000 to 136000 W across eight MPPT channels on a 103 kg chassis.
Three-phase hybrids sit alongside them on the SG platforms. The SUN14-15-16-18-20K-SG05LP3-EU-SM2 is recorded as a hybrid with two channels and a 51.9 kg chassis, and the SUN5-6-8-10-12K-SG04LP3 covers 5000 to 12000 W across five ratings with two unequal DC inputs, 26 A and 34 A.
Reading a Deye model designation
A Deye designation is not one product code but a family. SUN5-6-8-10-12K-SG04LP3 names five separate inverters at once, and its entry records all five: 5000, 6000, 8000, 10000 and 12000 W nominal. Read it in four parts.
SUN — the prefix on all 31 Deye entries we hold.
The rating list — every number up to the K is a distinct unit in kilowatts, decimals included. SUN3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-12-15K is ten inverters, 3000 to 15000 W nominal.
The platform code — G01 through G06 on the string inverters, SG01, SG04 and SG05 on the battery-capable ones, followed where present by a phase marker. Every entry whose code contains P1 or LP1 records one phase; every entry with P3 or LP3 records three. Many designations omit the marker, and then only the spec table settles it.
The trailing code — a region and a hardware revision. EU, US and AU behave as you would expect: the US unit is recorded at 120/240 V and 60 Hz against 230 V and 50 Hz for the EU ones. The digit closing the revision matches the MPPT channel count in every entry we hold — AM1 one channel, AM2, BM2 and SM2 two, AM4 four. Bare G0x designations give no such hint: the SUN70-75-80-90-100-110K-G03 has six channels and the SUN120-125-130-135-136K-G01P3 eight.
Our records store these designations with their dots and hyphens stripped. The readable forms above are our reconstruction; each link carries the stored slug.
