How the GoodWe inverter range is organised
The twelve GoodWe entries on this site are series names rather than individual product codes, and they run from an 800 W microinverter to a 320 kW utility machine. Phase count divides the range cleanly.
Single-phase
Four entries are single-phase. GoodWe MIS is the microinverter: 800 W nominal and 800 W maximum on two MPPT channels, 96.4% maximum efficiency, and the only GoodWe enclosure here rated above IP66 at IP67. GoodWe XS G3 is the entry-level string inverter at 3000 W nominal and 3300 W maximum, with a 16 A DC input limit and 96.9%. GoodWe DNS G4 and GoodWe MS G4 are the two-MPPT residential units, recorded at 6600 W and 8800 W maximum AC and both at 98.1% — but with very different chassis, 9.2 kg against 16 kg.
Three-phase commercial
The SDT and SMT lines cover commercial roofs. SDT G3 8-15K tops out at 16500 W maximum AC with a 22 A DC limit and 98.6%; SDT G4 15-33 reaches 36300 W at 19 kg and 98.7%; SDT G3 36-50 55000 W at 98.8%; and SMT G2 88000 W with an 1100 V DC ceiling. All but the smallest record a 42 A per-channel DC input limit.
Three-phase utility
GoodWe GTG2 records 121000 W maximum AC at 98.8%. GoodWe GT150 is 150000 W nominal and 165000 W maximum across ten MPPT channels, and is one of the few entries here with both efficiency figures recorded: 99% maximum and 98.5% European. GoodWe HT 1500V moves to a 1500 V DC architecture at 225000 W nominal, 247500 W maximum and twelve channels drawing 30 A each. The GoodWe UT SERIES is the largest we hold: 320000 W nominal, 352000 W maximum, fifteen MPPT channels and 99.05% maximum efficiency, also on a 1500 V DC input.
Every GoodWe entry except the MIS microinverter is recorded at IP66.
Reading a GoodWe model designation
GoodWe names a series and a generation, not a single unit. The pattern is a two- or three-letter series code, an optional power span, and a G followed by a generation number.
The series code signals both role and phase count. XS, DNS and MS are single-phase residential string inverters, MIS the module-level microinverter, SDT and SMT the three-phase commercial lines, and GT, GTG, HT and UT the utility machines. Every entry we hold whose code begins SDT, SMT, GT, HT or UT records three phases; XS, DNS, MS and MIS record one.
The power span appears only on the SDT entries — SDT G3 8-15K covers 8 to 15 kW, SDT G4 15-33 covers 15 to 33 kW. Elsewhere the series name stands alone, and HT 1500V names a DC architecture rather than an output.
The G number is a generation, not a size. G2, G3 and G4 all appear across different power bands, so G4 hardware is newer than G3 rather than larger.
Two cautions about the stored figures. For most GoodWe series only maximum AC power is recorded, not nominal — the 16500 W shown for the SDT G3 8-15K is the ceiling of the largest member of that series, not a rating shared by all of them. And like Deye and Growatt, several GoodWe names reached our records with their punctuation stripped, so the readable forms above are ours while each link carries the stored slug.
