The upper end is the part that costs energy. Most inverters hold full power only up to a point — often somewhere in the low forties Celsius — and then progressively reduce output to protect the semiconductors, which is exactly when a sunny site is producing most. Mounting in shade, leaving the manufacturer's clearances around the heatsink and avoiding hot enclosed spaces are worth more than a percentage point of peak efficiency. The lower end matters mainly for cold-climate starts and for battery systems, since lithium cells have their own, narrower charging window.
